Scots back schools on first day back
91% satisfaction with school education
Angus MacDonald, MSP for Falkirk East, has sent good wishes to all pupils and teachers in his constituency on the day Falkirk district’s young people return to school and has highlighted the latest survey of opinion which shows Scots are overwhelmingly satisfied with their children’s education.
The figures in the Scottish Household Survey show a 91% satisfaction rate and come after pupils achieved record exam results this year.
SNP MSP for Falkirk East Angus MacDonald, who until recently served on Falkirk Council’s Education Committee welcomed the survey results saying:
“This is a timely picture of Scottish education and is a tribute to the teachers, pupils and parents who all play their part in boosting Falkirk district’s education.
“As pupils return this week they can look forward to an exciting year of learning in the state of the art schools built around Falkirk East in recent years.
“However, there is no complacency about our education system and this SNP government will keep working hard with teachers, parents and pupils to ensure our young people get the best possible education.”
