Call to Return Voter Registration Cards
Wednesday, 17 August 2011 16:47
The annual Voter Registration Form will be posted to everyone who is eligible to vote from 31st August.
If you want to be included in the next Register of Electors you need to check that details of all eligible resident electors over 16 years of age are included on the form and return it to the Electoral Registration Officer.
If no changes are needed, you can respond to the ERO by telephone, email, fax or text. However, if changes do need to be made, then a signed form with details of the changes is required and this can be returned by scanned e-mail attachment, fax or posted in the pre-paid envelope provided.
It is in every elector’s interest to ensure that a response is made and they are included in the 1st December Register of Electors. If you’re not on the register you can’t vote and it may also reduce your credit rating.
If you need further advice please refer to the frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) on www.saa.gov.uk/central
If you haven’t received a registration form and haven’t registered already by telephone or email by 9th September you can download a form from the above website.
