MSP for Falkirk East, Angus MacDonald, welcomed a group of visitors to the Scottish Parliament this week from his constituency, who had come to watch First Minister’s Questions from the public gallery. The Westquarter and Redding Community Group also had a tour of the building including the Garden Lobby and the Holyrood Chamber.
“I was delighted to welcome community activists from the Westquarter and Redding Community Group to Parliament last week.
‘It is always a pleasure to be able to give constituents the opportunity to see at first hand their Parliament building.
‘People often have preconceived ideas of what the Holyrood building is like if they haven’t been before, but always leave with a new perspective. The Parliament was designed to be as open and accessible to the people of Scotland as possible, and I would encourage anyone yet to see it for themselves to take the time to do so.
‘My staff and I always try to meet with constituents of mine when they come to visit the building, and the Parliament itself has an excellent and well-informed team in Visitors Services who will help you with any query should you wish to come and see Parliament in action.”
