MACDONALD WELCOMES REFURBISHMENT OF GRANGEMOUTH POST OFFICE

After an 11day refurbishment, the Post Office at York Lane, Grangemouth is scheduled to re-open on the 11th February 2014 at 13.00.
The new look; modernised Post Office with boast longer opening hours on Saturday afternoons, four serving positions, a mix of two traditional screened counters and two open plan serving positions and it will now be the only Post Office in the Falkirk area that can issue replacement car tax discs in addition to renewal of tax discs.
York Land is also equipped with an A.E.I. terminal that allows them to renew the new 10 year photo ID driving licence online with licence delivery with one week. The A.E.I. terminal will also allow duplicate Security Industry licences to be obtained online.
Falkirk East MSP, Angus MacDonald, whose constituency office is just round the corner from the post office, welcomed the re-opening of the branch.

“Facilities like local Post Offices are a vital part of our community. It is a linchpin for the precinct, drawing people into the area to help the trade of the small businesses.
I am delight that this investment has been made, a good indication that we will have this facility for many years to come.”
