Two schools in the Falkirk East district have been awarded funding from Awards for All Scotland, totalling £12,504. Larbert High School received £8,004, which will fund the purchasing of equipment in the sport of gymnastics and Carrongrange School received £4,500 to fund programmes in the preforming arts for its pupils with additional needs.
These grants from Awards for All are just two of 285 that were awarded by the National Lottery fund last week totalling £2,015,070. These relatively small grants are targeted at local communities and have proven very beneficial for the groups the support.
Angus MacDonald, SNP MSP for Falkirk East commented:
“It brings me joy to congratulate both Larbert High School and Carrongrange in their award. These local primary and upper level schools are an important component of the community and their services provide an opportunity for pupils to broaden their horizons. It is programmes such as this that will help create a rich environment for them to grow up in.”
