SNP MSP for the Falkirk East, Angus MacDonald is urging young people aged 16 and 17 across the district who voted in the Scottish Independence Referendum to respond to an online survey produced by the Scottish Parliament Committee tasked with examining the devolution of further powers to the Scottish Parliament.
Mr MacDonald said:
“One of the fantastic things about the referendum was the engagement with young voters.
“During the course of the Referendum campaign I found that 16 and 17 year-olds were fully engaged with the arguments, they were informed and enthusiastic about the opportunity they were presented with.
“The Scottish Parliament Committee tasked with examining the devolution of further powers to Scotland has set up an online survey for 16 and 17 year-old voters to ask them for their opinions and experience of the referendum and being able to vote.
“I’d urge anyone across Falkirk East who is 16 or 17 and voted in the referendum to take a moment to complete the survey, which can be found at: http://surveymonkey.com/r/2XVXMYL
