SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT ACTION PAYING DIVIDENDS ACROSS SCOTLAND
SNP MSP Angus MacDonald is today welcoming new figures showing strong numbers of dental registration in Falkirk district – and is encouraging local people to ensure they attend regular check-ups with their dentist.
Figures published by the Scottish Government show that 53,994 children and 205,662 adults in Forth Valley are now registered with a dentist – as national figures show that almost 2 million more people across Scotland are now registered since the SNP came to office.
Commenting, Falkirk East MSP Angus MacDonald said:
“The SNP’s investment in our health service is paying dividends – with 259,656 people in Forth Valley now registered with a dentist and almost 2 million more people across Scotland registered since the Scottish Government came to office.
“The large number of children registered in Forth Valley is also particularly welcome – with 53,994 now having access to a dentist
“Regular attendance at a dentist is very important – and can help identify early signs of oral cancer – so I would urge everyone across Falkirk district to take the opportunity offered by increased access to an NHS dentist and make sure they take the time for regular check-ups.
“These figures are another example of the SNP’s commitment to and investment in our health service paying off – and so it is no wonder that the people of Falkirk district are continuing to put their faith in us to improve our public services.”
