ANGUS MACDONALD MSP SETS UP CHRISTMAS COLLECTION POINT

Falkirk East MSP, Angus MacDonald, has set up a Christmas Collection point in his office at 2 York Arcade, Grangemouth, to assist with the annual Salvation Army Toy Appeal. Toys can be dropped off from Monday 5th December.

Every year the Salvation Army collects toys to distribute to children and families who have little or nothing under their tree on Christmas morning, and Angus MacDonald MSP has agreed to assist with this year’s collection.

Over the years, millions of children and young people have benefited from gifts donated to The Salvation Army. These donations have gone on to make the world of difference to people who otherwise would not have a lot to look forward to on Christmas Day. Donations received by Bo’ness Salvation Army will be distributed to families in need around Grangemouth, Bo’ness and other communities within Falkirk East.

After meeting with Lt. Tom Dunham of the Bo'ness Salvation Army, Angus MacDonald MSP for Falkirk East commented,

“Christmas should be a time of joy for every child, regardless of circumstance. As a community, it is up to us to ensure that we do our part to share that joy for everyone.

“This year, I am looking forward to doing my part by working with the Bo’ness Salvation Army and helping to expand their toy collection efforts to Grangemouth. I am happy to offer my office as a collection point for the community to donate new unwrapped toys and gifts for children and young people in need this Christmas.

“I would urge as many people as possible to purchase an extra gift whilst doing their own Christmas shopping so that you can light up a life this year.”
